Friday Night Magic Events When:     Every Friday, starting around 6:45pm Format:   Standard (one 2-Headed Giant per month)   Min. of 8 players Cost:        $5.00 (Unless noted)  Each entry fee includes one Magic the Gathering                    booster (regularly priced boosters only). Prizes:    Foil FNM Promo cards; plus boosters to Top 4 finishers  FNM is a casual tournament gaming format, designed to allow both beginner and more experienced players a chance to test their deck building skills. FNM events have significantly less impact on a player's rating than most tournaments, they are 8K tournaments and have a regular rules enforcement (REL). Rules enforcement puts the emphasis on teaching players the correct ways to play. Four Promo cards, a new card made available each month, are awarded at each FNM. One each to the 1st & 2nd place winners. The remaining two promo cards  are awarded as Door Prizes to two other participants. Game Day Date & Time: Saturday, August 14 1:00pm   Entry Fee $5.00   Format Game Days are Standard Constructed format. The use of deck lists is recommended. The tournament will be Swiss-style, with the number of rounds determined by attendance. Advancement The top 8 players after the Swiss rounds will advance to the single-elimination finals. In the case of an event with 16 players or less, the Swiss rounds will be followed by a cut to top 4. Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will be used to determine final order in the standings. In the case of an event with exactly 8 players, there will be three Swiss rounds with no single-elimination cut. Prizes All participants receive a Liliana's Specter promo card (while supplies last). The top 8 players each receive an exclusive Mitotic Slime full-art promo card. The cards are awarded to the Top 8 players even if the tournament cuts only to the top 4. Two Mitotic Slime promo cards will also be awarded as door prizes. Booster packs will also be awarded, based on attendance. The winner receives the M11 Game Day winners certificate, as well as the M11 Champion title. Selected top 8 decks and all Game Day winners will also be featured on magicthegathering.com. M11 Casual Play Promo Event Date & Time: Saturday, August 21 1:00pm   Entry Fee $18.00   Format Sealed Deck. Each participant receives 5 M11 boosters to construct a 40 card (minimum) deck. Game Structure & Prizes Each participant plays a single game against 1 opponent. Players will not duel against the same opponent twice in a row. Players earn (1) point for each game played. The winner will receive (1) additional point. After a player earns (10) points, the player receives (1) promo card. After each consecutive (10) points earned the player will receive another promo card. Also, after earning (10) points, and each (10) points thereafter, players have the option of purchasing an additional booster to add to their deck. Promos consist of the collection of cards from all previous events. Some quantities are limited.
