FNM is a casual tournament gaming format,
designed to allow both beginner and more
experienced players a chance to test their deck
building skills.
FNM events have significantly less impact on a
player's rating than most tournaments, they are
8K tournaments and have a regular rules
enforcement (REL). Rules enforcement puts the
emphasis on teaching players the correct ways to
play.
Four Promo cards, a new card made available each
month, are awarded at each FNM. One each to the
1st & 2nd place winners. The remaining two
promo cards are awarded as Door Prizes to
two other participants.

Legendary rule for Planeswalkers is ignored.
Only one Planeswalker allowed in deck.
Planeswalker is placed into play at start of
game, it's abilities cannot be played until
the start of the 4th turn. Planeswalker
cannot be destroyed, but damage to it will
remove loyalty counters. No side board.
This one is may not have all of the kinks
worked out. |
